OpenAI launched three new models: GPT-5.6 Sol (its most capable, same price as 5.5), Terra (5.5-level performance at half the price), and Luna (fast, high-volume). Sol is positioned as a cybersecurity leader, hardened with over 700,000 A100-equivalent GPU hours of automated red-teaming. Sam Altman also teased 750 tokens/sec coming to Sol on Cerebras in July.
